Composition Sensiclav Tablet

• Cefpodoxime 200 mg (in each tablet form)
• Potassium Clavulanate 125 mg (in each suspension form).


• Sensiclav Tablet should be stored at room temperature, away from direct heat and sunlight. It should be kept in a clean, dry place away from children and pets.

Product Information:

• Sensiclav Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat various kinds of bacterial infections. It is available in forms of tablets as well as in suspension form and can be obtained with a doctor’s prescription.

• The active ingredients present in the tablets are Cefpodoxime 200 mg and Potassium Clavulanate 125 mg. It also contains inactive ingredients such as Sodium Carboxymethylstarch, Crospovidone, Povidone K 30, Magnesium Stearate which helps to reduce inflammation.


• Sensiclav Tablet is used to treat various kinds of bacterial infections such as sinusitis, bronchitis, middle ear infection (otitis media), skin infection and urinary tract infection among others.


• The medicine works by inhibiting the growth and multiplication of bacteria infecting the body’s tissue or organ. As a result it helps to reduce inflammation caused by infection as well as restores healthy functioning of tissues or organs affected by bacterial infections.

Side effects:

• Common side effects associated with the use of Sensiclav Tablet include nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, diarrhea, loss of appetite etc.. If any of these side effects are experienced for a prolonged period it is best to consult your doctor immediately.

Ans-The effect of the medicine usually starts within few hours after taking it and lasts up to 7-10 days depending on severity and type of infection being treated.

Answer-Pregnant women or nursing mothers should not take this medication without consulting their doctor; people allergic towards Penicillin or Cephalosporins also need to avoid this medication unless advised otherwise by their physician.
